Corundum crucible cannot be used for gasoline spray gun and acetylene gun
When the heating and cooling rate of large-size corundum products is below 1200℃, it is recommended to be <5℃/min, and when it is above 1200℃, <4/min.
The heating and cooling speed varies according to the nature of the experimental equipment and the tested substance. Since the raw materials used to make corundum products have thermal expansion, rapid heating and cooling or uneven heating can easily cause corundum products to crack. It is recommended to slow down the heating and cooling speed as much as possible when the conditions permit during use to make it evenly heated. This will extend the service life of corundum products.
- The alumina crucible is composed of porous fused alumina, which is strong and resistant to melting.
- Alumina crucible is suitable for melting NaCl, etc., but not suitable for using alkaline substances such as Na2O2, NaOH, soda ash, potassium carbonate and acidic substances as fluxes (such as K2S2O7, etc.) to melt samples.
